Description

Minted in the United States of America under the government of Governor Cantz'laar. Has a mintage of 120,655 pieces of which approximately 114,000 have been melted down in 1827. January 1st 1827 these coins were taken out of circulation.
Very rare coin that does not come up for auction often.
Last one that was sold .."sold as
lot 34154 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), where it sold for 4.38. The catalog description

noted, "Dutch Colony Reaal 1821.......... Variety with 4 acorns. Most of the mintage was melted in 1827".
