6 French Antique Tea Cups w/Saucers - Vermeil Interiors & Matching Tea Spoons
A set of six elegantly styled silverplated tea cups and their saucers, with six matching vermeil bowl teaspoons.
The interior of the cups have a vermeil (gold plated) interior. The cups’ handles are delicately styled and have tiny ribbed bandings along the bottom edging. The saucers are very modernist which adds to their elegance.
The cups measure 3 inches in diameter and stand 2 ¼ inches high.
The saucers are 5 inches in diameter and the spoons are 4 3/8 inches long.
The saucers and spoons are stamped ‘Maillechort’ - which is a silver plating process used in the XIXth century and hallmarked LF. The set would probably date from the early XXth century – 1910-1920 or so.
All pieces are in very good condition, shiny with light traces of surface use and would make a stunning addition to a tea service.
