This Fisher Scientific Vacuum Oven Model 250 works and as shown by the photos is tested to hold a vacuum and heats as expected. You'll notice there is some damage to the outside insulation (but not the inner insulation) on the power cord, it doesn't affect operation, but you may want to put a new one on the device if this concerns you. We don't warrant the cord but the rest of the device we warrant for 60 days from the purchase date so you can buy with confidence at a fraction of the cost of a new vacuum oven.
