Description
FLAGEOLET flute or recorder with two keys. Says L N LOT GAREMES EURE FRANCE. Lucent lot marked his instruments this way between the period of 1946 thru 1963. The pad looks original. Maybe Grenadilla wood ? and plastic trim.I do not know if they need replaced. I am not a flute player so I do not know if it plays or not. The small mouth piece has a crack as shown one side only. I had one ebayer say that its not the correct mouth piece, I dont know it came with it. Had same Ebayer say this is a bombard ? used in Breton music. can not verify either way. Where the key is looks like a hairline that has been repaired. Where the bell goes on looks like newer thin string wound around to firm it up not cork. Sold as is for full restoration. No returns.Lucien Lot appears to be unconnected with the extensive Lot dynasty of instrument makers.
