When should I offer the LX?
The LX Immersion Circulator serves as an economical alternative to the MX Immersion Circulator when the following
criteria are met:
• Operating below 98°C: This is the maximum temperature for LX Immersion Circulators, while the MX has a maximum
temperature of 135°C, so if your customer does not need to achieve higher temperatures, or is working with a
polycarbonate tank, the LX is the right choice.
• Working with smaller vessels: Both the LX and MX Immersion Circulators can clamp to both curved and flat walls. But,
with a maximum reservoir capacity of 20 L (compared to the MX’s 28), the LX is a cost effective solution for smaller
reservoirs.
• Lower Flow Rate Requirements: The LX operates with a flow rate of 6 l/min, while the MX’s flow rate is 12.8 lpm (10.6
for 240V). Flow rate impacts uniformity and depends on the viscosity of the fluid in the vessel. For low viscosity fluids
(such as water), or when uniformity is not critical, the LX is a cost-effective option.
