    Description

    Vintage Chinese Hand Carved Cinnebar Box.
    Item is 4 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 inches tall.
    The carving on the top of the box shows a tree on a hillside overlooking a dwelling with two people in the distance looking on.
    Interior of item is painted in black lacquer and has a note that the item may date to the 1940s.
    I don't believe this is carved wood, but carved plastic.
